Caribbean Style Grilled Chicken Wingettes

This is a mouth watering, Caribbean seasoned twist to any party wing. It takes just a few minutes to prep and then just throw them on the grill. Your guests will want to know how you cooked them so well. But, let the secret be ours!

Servings: 8 to 15

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Marinade Time: 20 minutes in refrigerator

Grill Time: Approximately 16 to 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. of Chicken Party Wings
  • 8 ozes of Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 cup of diced Red Peppers
  • 1/2 cup of diced Yellow Peppers
  • 1/4 cup of chopped Shallots
  • 2 tablespoons of Yellow Curry Powder
  • 1 tablespoon of Cumin
  • 1/2 tablespoon of Dry Garlic Powder
  • Dash Sea Salt
  • Dash of Pepper
  • A Can of Coconut or Canola Oil Spray
  • Aluminum Foil

Directions

1. Punch small holes in foil, with fork to allow heat to come through.

2a. Spray a thin layer of oil on your foiled grill, to prevent food from sticking.

2b. Heat up your grill until it reaches 350 to 400 degrees.

3. Meanwhile; thoroughly rinse chicken, pat dry, and place in a large mixing bowl.

4. Pour coconut milk over chicken and coat each piece.

5. Sprinkle, Curry Powder, Garlic Powder, and Cumin Powder over chicken.

6. Take your hands and fold chicken in marinade mixture, Or carefully toss chicken in bowl.

7. Add Shallots, Yellow and Red Peppers, and fold chicken again.

8. Make sure all ingredients are well coated.

9. Place plastic wrap over bowl. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes prior to grilling.

10. When ready, place chicken on grill in single layer. Grill each side for 8 to 10 minutes or when juices run clear. Serve hot.

Hi Tricia,LOL, I have one bottle put aside for Mr Eco ;-) I’ve never used bees wax bucease it’s expensive to buy but I’ve seen (and contemplated) some gorgeous-looking recipes using bees wax, not to mention candles of course. I want to make my own lip balm when I use up my last two chap sticks, I bought an empty wind-up stick from Aussie Soap Supplies recently when I bought my last order of goodies.Hi MistressB,We plough through it in summer so I’m annoyed I missed the 2L container of juice in the freezer over summer! It’s very refreshing (and very simple).Cheers, Julie

(There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

  33. August 13, 2012 at 6:47 am #

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

  41. August 13, 2012 at 9:54 am #

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

Thanks for your short article. I would also love to say that your health insurance agent also works best for the benefit of the actual coordinators of the group insurance cover. The health agent is given a listing of benefits sought by anyone or a group coordinator. What any broker does indeed is find individuals or maybe coordinators which often best match up those desires. Then he reveals his suggestions and if all sides agree, the broker formulates binding agreement between the 2 parties.

  152. August 16, 2012 at 2:45 am #

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

A fascinating discussion is worth comment. I believe that you need to write more about this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but usually people don’t talk about these issues. To the next! All the best!!

Thanks for your valuable post. As time passes, I have been able to understand that the particular symptoms of mesothelioma cancer are caused by your build up associated fluid relating to the lining on the lung and the torso cavity. The illness may start inside the chest region and get distributed to other limbs. Other symptoms of pleural mesothelioma include fat reduction, severe inhaling trouble, nausea, difficulty swallowing, and irritation of the neck and face areas. It should be noted that some people having the disease never experience virtually any serious indicators at all.

One thing I’d like to say is that car insurance cancellation is a feared experience and if you’re doing the best things as being a driver you’ll not get one. Some individuals do have the notice that they’ve been officially dumped by their insurance company and several have to fight to get more insurance after a cancellation. Low cost auto insurance rates tend to be hard to get after the cancellation. Having the main reasons for auto insurance termination can help car owners prevent burning off one of the most critical privileges offered. Thanks for the strategies shared by means of your blog.

In these days of austerity and also relative stress about having debt, most people balk contrary to the idea of utilizing a credit card to make purchase of merchandise and also pay for a vacation, preferring, instead only to rely on a tried and trusted technique of making transaction – hard cash. However, if you possess the cash on hand to make the purchase 100 %, then, paradoxically, that is the best time to be able to use the credit card for several causes.

I have to express my thanks to the writer for bailing me out of this type of dilemma. After searching through the world wide web and seeing tips that were not productive, I figured my entire life was gone. Living minus the answers to the difficulties you have fixed all through the short post is a crucial case, and ones that could have in a negative way damaged my entire career if I hadn’t noticed your website. Your good mastery and kindness in touching everything was useful. I don’t know what I would have done if I had not come upon such a stuff like this. 230. August 17, 2012 at 10:02 am #

  231. August 17, 2012 at 10:09 am #

The more I actually look at it a lot more I am certain it does not work like a real solid human cancer.

Thanks for your blog post. I would like to say that a health insurance brokerage service also utilizes the benefit of the particular coordinators of any group insurance. The health agent is given a listing of benefits needed by a person or a group coordinator. Exactly what a broker does is try to find individuals or perhaps coordinators which in turn best match up those demands. Then he provides his referrals and if each party agree, the particular broker formulates binding agreement between the two parties.
